In the Book of Titus, the Gospel reminds us that beause of CHRIST appearing to man in the flesh and by HIS death and Resurrection, we have been redeemed. It is not something that we have earned it or deserve it, but solely a gift from GOD.
Dear friend, if you would read some of the detailed studies of the Shroud of Turin, you would read about and see diagrams showing the torture and wounds endured for you and I. Also, the movie, “The Passion of CHRIST” by Mel Gibson, would give you an idea of why we should be changed after receiving the Love of GOD into our hearts.
We should act differently toward others and toward the sins of the flesh. We should understand how we should walk more and more humbly, acknowledging GOD for HIS Great Mercy toward us.
Please read these following verses with me: “For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.” Titus 2:11-14 ESV.
“To speak evil of no one, to avoid quarreling, to be gentle, and to show perfect courtesy toward all people. For we ourselves were once foolish, disobedient, led astray, slaves to various passions and pleasures, passing our days in malice and envy, hated by others and hating one another. But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit”. Titus 3: 2 – 5 ESV
This being said, I pray: FATHER GOD, help me to hear YOUR Voice , both in my heart and in my ear, that I may know how to speak and act, so as to give YOU great Glory and pleasure in knowing how much I appreciate YOUR Love for me and for all that YOU have called to YOURSELF. I Praise YOU and thank YOU in JESUS NAME. Amen
